Because you are fearfully and wonderfully made and God has created you for “Greatness”… Refuse to be an “average” christian who just goes through the motions in serving God… but determine that you are not just going to eat the crumbs that fall from God’s table… but you are going to pull up a chair and eat at the banquet table of life that God has prepared for you… that you are going to have the full-course meal… (appetizer, entree and dessert)…
“You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies: you anoint my head with oil; my cup runs over.” (Psalm 23:5)
Decide today that you are not going to be satisfied with just going through the motions in serving God… going to church… reading your bible, praying and witnessing every now and then… but you are going to get on fire for God by totally submitting your will, desires, ambitions and plans to him… passionately chase after him until you get what you need from him and serve him with all your heart, mind, and strength…
Decree and Declare that you will not leave this earth without fulfilling everything that God has created… called… anointed… and appointed you to do for him… Refuse to die without fulfilling your destiny in God and do not allow anyone or anything to stop you from being everything that God has called you to be in him… In other words… Die Empty!!!…
Die empty of every gift… talent… and ability that God has placed on the inside of you… God has not created you to just live and die in church… and in between time… just go through the motions in serving him… while you wait for the sweet old bye and bye when you die and go to heaven… The devil is a liar!!!…
God has called you to be a voice… and not an echo… To make an impact in this world and do Great and Mighty exploits for the Kingdom of God… Not just live and die in him… But Live… Move… and have your Being in him!!!…. God has called you to live a Vibrant… Exciting… totally Exhilarating life in him… Not some boring… “Just get me through the week Jesus” christian life”…
“For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.” (Acts 17:28)
Jesus said we would do even “Greater” works than he did… not just sit, live and die in church… The church building is just a gathering place where we meet to received the training and instruction that we need to go out and get the job done for Christ… It’s not where we live and die… The true church is a living and breathing organism made up of each and every believer… We are the Church!!!…
“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believes on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.” (John 14:12)
It is time out for playing church… but time for us to be the Church!!!… The world is waiting for the “Real’ Church of Jesus Christ to Show Up!!!… not just hide behind the church walls talking about how great, wonderful and terrific our God is… never demonstrating the power of our God… but to show up front and center and deliver the goods!!!…
Also, It’s time for selfish… insecure… greedy pastors to stop holding the people of God hostage in the church by making them feel that only a select and (highly favored) few has been called and is qualified to minister the Gospel… The devil is a liar!!!…
The moment you gave your life to God through Jesus Christ you became a minister of the Gospel… and by the way… ministry is not just about being a pastor, evangelist, prophet, etc… but true ministry is allowing God to use you where ever, how ever and when ever he wants to use you… to be a light and a witness that he can use to draw (reconcile) others to him… whether it be in your job, home, business, family, or market-place… It’s all about “availability”… If you make yourself available to God he will use you for ministry…
“And all things are of God, who has reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and has given to us the ministry of reconciliation.”
(2 Corinthians 5:18)
And furthermore, Titles do not bring or qualify you for the anointing of God… You can call yourself Bishop… Apostle… Prophet… Evangelist… etc… all day long… but only God can call… appoint… anoint and qualify you…
The true proof of your ministry is not in the title that you have… but in the fruit that is produced and does God back you up???
After you have sung your song… prayed your prayer and taught your message… does God back you up???… Does signs and wonders follow your ministry (i.e. souls being saved… sick healed… demons cast out… etc.) and does your personal and spiritual life exhibit the true fruit of that title???
The church has to stop being impressed by titles and look for fruit… Jesus looked for and expected fruit and so should we…
“As you go, preach this message: ‘The kingdom of heaven is near.’ Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons.” (Matthew 10:7-8)
A sold-out, totally yielded, holy and submitted life to Christ is what brings the anointing… You “do not” need a special title or ordination ceremony to go out and tell people about what God has done for you and the difference that he has made in your life… The moment you open your mouth to share about Christ you are a minister of the Gospel…
Refuse to be kept on lock-down in a church that is filled with endless programs, promises and teaching series… all designed to keep you confined to a church building fulfilling man’s ambition but not God’s agenda… and does not encourage or exhort you to get out and make a difference for Christ and the world…
The “Great Commission was not just a suggestion… but a Commandment!!!…
For some of you this message may be a wake-up call… but for a lot of you this is direct confirmation of what God has already been telling you by his Spirit… That he has not placed all the gifts… talents and abilities on the inside of you for nothing… and that he has not called you to be fruit dieing on the vine in church…
for some of you I hear God saying… you don’t need any more schools, books or tapes… you already have the word of God running out of your ears and you have a earned a PHD through the life that you have lived in him… You don’t need any one to confirm you and oil you down a 100th time or give you the green-light to go… it is time for you to get out of the boat (or box)… assume your position in Christ… and show up!!!… God has need of you and he has people waiting for you to show up and deliver the Goods!!!…
“GOD HAS ANOINTED… APPOINTED… AND CALLED YOU!!!”
“Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” (Matthew 28:18-20)
